Hull Collegiate School provides education for boys and girls from the age of 3 years to 18 years on one site. Our admissions process is designed to identify applicants whose academic and other abilities appear to match the ethos of the School and whose personal qualities suggest they have the potential to contribute to our school community and benefit from the opportunities that are offered.
Pupils may be admitted at any age and at any time throughout the academic year providing there are vacancies in the year group they wish to join.

Assessment
All pupils wishing to enter the School from Year 4 are required to sit an entrance assessment. An acceptable standard must be achieved in each test for a place to be offered. Admission is also based on a report from their current school.
If a pupil falls slightly short of the above criteria a place may still be offered at the discretion of the Headmaster following an informal interview.
The main assessment tests for entry into the school each September will take place:
Acceptance of Places
Once a place is offered, we ask for prompt acceptance. Acceptance comprises the payment of a refundable deposit (£100) and the return of the School’s Form of Acceptance. This document sets out the primary contract with the School and the financial obligations regarding notice and withdrawl, to which parents are required to agree. All parents with legal responsibility must sign these documents. Your child cannot start at the School until this process is completed.
A non-returnable registration fee (£25) is payable on submission of an application. Please ensure the school is told at the application stage if your child has a disability or particular need to that we can properly assess his/her requirements. Assessments from professionals such as Educational Psychologists should be provided at this stage.
