Childcare Vouchers and School Fees

Early Years Funding Scheme

The school accepts Early Years Funding as a part contribution towards the school’s tuition fees for the term after the child turns three and up to the term after the child turns five.

Information for Working Parents

Since September 2008, the legislation surrounding childcare vouchers has changed to extend the definition of “qualifying childcare” to include payment, or part payment towards school fees. The beneficial element of the vouchers comes from tax and NI savings and can be used for:
  • Any other charge by a school for the participation in out-of-hours school activities, such as Morning School Care or After School Care. Our Summer School, which runs between the last two weeks of July and the first two weeks of August can also be included in the voucher scheme

The voucher system is open to both parents, if both are remunerated by their employer under PAYE. There are a number of important factors connected with the scheme which parents need to explore according to individual circumstances. Hull Collegiate School cannot give advice on the  matter, other than to speak directly to your employer. If parents wish to make use of vouchers as part-payment of school fees, please contact the Accounts Administrator on 01482 657016.
