Year 10 pupil wins Music Competition

Congratulations to Alex Maynard who has just won the East Coast Music Competition in the 14 and Under Class, playing the cello. Alex was awarded a distinction at Grade 8 for the cello earlier this year and has already played for the National Children's Orchestra and the National Youth Music Theatre.

Alex is one of 10 families in the whole of Yorkshire whose sibling also plays for the National Children's Orchestra.  George Maynard, Year 6, has just been accepted into the Under 12 orchestra again for 2010 playing the French Horn.
