Young Enterprise Team win award at the YE Regional Christmas Trade Fair

Congratulations to Fusion, the Year 10 Young Enterprise team, who have won the Best Sales Team Award at the Young Enterprise Regional Christmas Trade Fair at St Stephen's on Saturday 5 December.

Fusion has 15 members in the team and the pupils who attended the St Stephen's Trade Fair were Katie Sissons (Managing Director), Elyse Hunter, Eddie Angel and Alex Taylor. Fusion sold neon socks at St Stephen's and, coupled with the Fusion stall at the Hull Collegiate School Christmas Fair, the team made a respectable profit of £200 which will be used to fund the team's main product of Fairtrade canvas bags overprinted with bespoke designs.

Six teams competed at the Young Enterprise Fair at St Stephen's and Fusion were recognised as having the best sales technique. They were described by the judges as being confident and knowledgeable.

"The New Year will be an exciting and challenging time for our Young Enterprise team, Fusion, as they try to get their main product off the ground," says Mrs Sue Kelsall, Head of Business Studies and Economics at Hull Collegiate School. "Their success at the St Stephen's Trade Fair, where they won the the Best Sales Team Award will, I am sure, inspire them to do well."
