The annual Year 9 European Day took place on Thursday 4 April to increase pupils’ awareness of Europe and promote Modern Foreign Languages.
The school welcomed Linda McAvan, a local Euro MP, who talked about the role of the European parliament. Several Hull Collegiate School parents were also invited into school to speak about the importance of language skills in business.
The Year 9 pupils took part in a range of activities including a Swedish lesson, a Euro quiz and a marketing exercise designed to promote British products abroad.
The day was enjoyed by all especially the delicious European style lunch which included croque monsieur, moussaka and French apple tart. Thanks goes to all staff involved and the parents who attended.
