Year 4 spent the day at Forest School, learning about the environment and the great outdoors. One of the pupils, Jasper, wrote the following report:
"Bridges, rafts, dens and water-channels – we made them all at Forest School this week.
Thomas and Finlay made a bridge which we all had a go at crossing. I made a floating boat and sailed buckets of water across to the other side of the stream. We roasted bananas and chocolate in the ashes of the fire – they were scrumptious! We helped each other to carry logs and branches to make dens. The girls made water channels by digging into the bank of the stream. Muscaan and Charlotte even made their own wooden city.
We all had a great day – and the sun was shining on us and all the millions of snowdrops. We can’t wait to go again next term when the forest will be full of blue-bells."
