Visitors to Holy Trinity Church, Hull, were treated to a moving ‘cello concert performed by three Hull Collegiate School pupils on Wednesday 21 April.
Rachel Barnes and Alex Maynard, both Year 10, and William Taylor, in Year 8, played a varied programme, including pieces from Bach, Boccherini and Wedgwood, to a public audience who were clearly appreciative of the young musicians’ talents.
Rachel, Alex and William belong to various ensembles at the Albemarle Music Centre and regularly perform at the Hull City Hall. Both Rachel and Alex are music scholars at the school and are members of the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra and have played with the National Youth Music Theatre.
