Year 7 pupil represents Great Britain

One of our Year 7 boys will be representing Great Britain in the forthcoming British Inline Puck Hockey Olympics. Twelve year old David is Team GB's Goalkeeper in the Junior Olympics, which are being held in Los Angeles between 29 June and 13 July 2010. David has already represented Great Britain in 2008 and has spent many, many hours training at Hull Ice Arena.

"Going to Los Angeles will be thrilling, lots of fun and very competitive," says David who has been ice skating since he could walk and has been training for these Junior Olympics since he was six. The Junior Olympics structure is similar to the World Cup: teams play an initial league and then progress to the knock-out stages.

"We've worked hard for this for a long time," continues David. "We're going out there to win!"
