Humber Fun Run

An intrepid band of 99 pupils and family members of Hull Collegiate Prep School turned out very early on Sunday morning to take part in the Rotary Club of Hull Humber Bridge Fun Run. This is the fourth time the school has participated en masse in this event and as usual sponsorship monies are to be divided between the Rotary Club’s nominated charities and the U Foundation, who have built strong links with the school over the past three years. The last three events have enabled us to raise over £6,000, and we are hoping to beat last year’s total again this year - the total will be calculated once all the sponsorship monies have been collected by the end of term.

Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Hull for organising such a safe and enjoyable event, but mostly thank you to everyone who so willingly supported the event by taking part - or simply by being there to hold the famous, and now traditional, rainbow umbrellas which act as markers for our children and parents!

A special thank you is also due to Jay, Sarah who along with Matthew and Jessica travelled from Leicester, just to support the children who raise funds for the U Foundation, and of course to Jay who picked up a not inconsiderable bill at the ice cream kiosk after the run!
