Hull Collegiate School celebrated record-breaking GCSE results today.
The pass rate for pupils achieving 5+ passes (including Mathematics and English) has increased by almost 6% to a school record of 94.9%, up from 89% in 2010.
Nearly 8% of the cohort (7.9%) achieved straight A* and A grades, with the top achievers scoring an impressive collection of A* grades.
Many congratulations to:
The overall pass rate was 93%, with a pass rate of 5+ passes A*-C rising to an impressive 98.7%. The number of pupils achieving A* and A grades was 41%
“I am immensely proud of the GCSE cohort,” says Headmaster Rob Haworth. “The boys this year, in particular, have performed exceptionally well with 100% pass rate which bucks the national trend of girls outperforming boys in academic subjects. However, this does not detract from the highly successful results achieved by the girls who consistently exceed beyond expectation, through their hard work, effort and outstanding input from their teachers.”
