The two Reception classes experienced their first visit to Forest School during the past fortnight. The children had a fantastic time and developed lots of woodland skills, including learning correct and safe tree-climbing techniques, collecting firewood and creating “magic potions” and “chocolate mud pudding. The children built a fairy village and used leaves to make masks or crowns.
Inspired by their visits, the Reception children have been busy creating a beautiful autumnal Woodland Dell display on the wall outside their classrooms.
Here is what a few of the children said about their Forest School adventures:
"It was really good. I liked mixing the magic potion" - Charlie
"Making the bonfire was my favourite bit" - Max
"I liked making the fairy house out of sticks" - Sophia and Bronte
"I liked climbing trees" - Phoebe and Hallie
