The annual Remembrance Service was held in school on Friday 11 November.
Senior School pupils were joined by members of the Governing Body and representatives of the Old Collegians. Rev Simpson, from All Saints’ Church, Hessle, gave the address which was followed by hymns and prayers. The names of all the Old Boys who fell during the two World Wars were read out to remember the sacrifice they made for their country. Mike Muress, a Year 13 pupil, played the Last Post, which was followed by a two minutes’ silence and the Reveille.
The Prep School pupils also took part in Remembrance with their own assembly and discussions as to why they were wearing poppies last week. Remembrance was particularly meaningful for the pupils in Year 6 who have been studying World War II in class and who visited Eden Camp on Thursday.
