The Prep School children spent Pudsey Day raising money for Children in Need, with a day of spottiness. The monies are still coming in but the children had raised a staggering £932 by the following Tuesday.
The pupils came to school wearing spotty clothes and brought teddy bears and, in return, donated money to the Children in Need fund.
Break-time saw a flurry of activities and stalls in the KS2 corridor and classrooms. “Pick a brick” and the “Dip of Doom” (an UNlucky dip) were just two of the creative ideas the pupils dreamed up to raise money for this worthwhile cause.
Headteacher, Mrs Karen Williams, said, "It has been a real joy to see the children involved so wholeheartedly in raising money for Children in Need. I am so impressed with the organisational abilities of our KS2 pupils, who have run an amazing variety of stalls. The KS1 children have had a lovely time entering the competitions and buying cakes and we have been very pleased to see them putting their maths skills to good use in counting out their change! There will be a lot of very well-educated teddies going home at the end of the day as well as some happy children who are proud to have contributed to this national event."
