Girls win Gold at the East Riding Schools Cross-Country Championships

Internal Image

The East Riding Schools Cross-Country Competition, held on Tuesday 6 December, proved a very successful, albeit very cold and demanding day for the Hull Collegiate Runners.

The Junior Girls team all received gold medals and were placed first, with the Intermediate Boys Team and Year 7 Girls Team receiving certificates for coming second and third respectively.

Individually, Chloe Robinson received a bronze medal in the Intermediate Girls race, even more commendable as she was the youngest in her age group.

Three further runners received certificates for finishing in the Top Six:

  • Andrew Hess (5th Intermediate Boys),
  • Jessica Robinson (5th Junior Girls) and
  • Hannah Dodds (6th Junior Girls).

Congratulations to Andrew, Jessica and Hannah, who are joined by Stephanie Symcox, Issy Hill, Charlotte Dalton, Lydia Laden, Rebecca Fraser, Emma-Jo Huckstep, Alex Dalton, Jack Kelsall and Chris Chapman who have all been asked to represent the East Riding in future races.
