Prep School Christmas Productions

The Prep School Christmas productions were performed to proud parents and friends this month.

The Foundation Stage Nativity, "Tiptoe Nativity" was an emotional event as all the children in First Steps, Kindergarten and Reception acted out the Christmas story: lines were learnt, songs were sung with gusto and the children performed superbly, especially as they are only between three and five years of age.

The Key Stage 1 production of "Soldiers' Christmas" was another rendition of the Christmas story and was performed and sung with great enthusiasm. The children coped admirably, especially as this play involved more complicated stage directions, lines and songs  

The Key Stage 2 concert was held on two evenings and was a great success.  The choir and orchestra performed with enthusiasm, and all the children joined together to sing ‘The Bells Ring Out’, a Christmas cantata which was brought to life by the pupils in Year 3 who put together a traditional Nativity tableau whilst the children sang.  Over twenty boys and girls sang solos or in small groups, and the array of talent on display was impressive, as was the commitment and enjoyment on display in the exuberant and tuneful singing.
