The Management Committee and Officers of the Old Collegians Association wish you every success in your life beyond school and would like to invite you to join the Association. You may wonder why you should join - here are a few reasons you might like to consider:
Keeping in touch
The Association provides a vehicle through which you can keep in touch with school friends and acquaintances. It may seem unnecessary immediately, but in years to come it is so easy to lose contact with people important to you now and the Association can do much to help you retain these contacts.
Continuity
The school is very much a community and leaving can, for some, be a wrench – for others, sure, a merciful release. Whatever the stance your schooldays stay with you for the rest of your life. The Old Collegians Association provides a sense of continuity, of belonging long after leaving.
Sport
The Association is involved in a number of sporting activities. The Hullensians Rugby Club was originally formed by former pupils. There are annual cricket matches in July and annual football matches in March/April against the school.
It is hoped that there can be greater involvement between the school and former pupils, both male and female, in the future. It is hoped that a number of additional activities involving alumni will be arranged in the future. If you have any ideas and/or would like to be involved you would be most welcome. By joining the Association you will be kept informed of all the activities. I would encourage you to respond to the invitation by completing the membership form and returning it to the school forthwith.
