Links with Parents

We aim to build positive links with parents.

In the first two weeks of the school year, new parents are invited to meet their child’s teacher and the Head of the Preparatory School. There are further parents’ meetings about their child’s progress in February and at the end of the Summer Term. We do, however, operate an open door policy and encourage parents to raise any concerns as soon as possible with their child’s class teacher. In this way, any concerns can be dealt with quickly.

It is important to us that our children are happy. With parental support we encourage children to become independent learners who think creatively and reflectively, developing the skills they need to face new challenges with confidence. We offer all our children opportunities to develop independence and the responsible attitude that will enable them to become active and caring members of the community.

Lunch

All children have a cooked lunch consisting of a main course and a pudding or fruit and this is taken in the main Refectory. There are two sittings to allow pupils to attend lunchtime activity clubs and music lessons.

Children may also bring a healthy snack, such as fruit or a plain biscuit, to eat at morning break.
