Principal, Mr Rob Haworth, says: “This has been another year of consolidation for Hull Collegiate School. As the school matures, our examination results reflect the commitment of our teachers and the hard work of our pupils. I am justly proud of this year’s A Level candidates and the top tier of pupils’ grades are indicative of how the school is growing from strength to strength. There are always those pupils who will do well and our real success lies with pupils who have excelled beyond their predicted grades.

I wish our Year 13 leavers every success for the future and look forward to welcoming them back to future events as Old Collegians.”

Congratulations to all our pupils and a special mention for:

  • Serena Zaman, who achieved 5 A grades in Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry, Spanish and Dutch, with a total point score of 640. Serena joined the school from Holland and English is her third language.
  • Laura Gibson, who achieved 4 A grades and will take up her place at St John’s College, Cambridge, to read Medicine.
  • Greg Milner, who achieved 4 A grades and goes on to read Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College.
  • Additional congratulations go to the following pupils who gained 3 A levels at grade A: Joe Clark, Arthur Foxton, Priya Koshy, Emma Scott, Charlotte Smith and Caitlin McNamara.

Five pupils are expected to read Medicine this year; 4 pupils have confirmed places with an additional 1 pupil taking up her place in Autumn 2010.
