Curriculum

Once pupils reach the Sixth Form, they are able to identify their own strengths and interests and have the opportunity to develop them. Pupils are now able concentrate on subjects they particularly enjoy and discover in them new aspects and depths.

Availability of all subjects and options depends on pupil numbers.

Initially, the balance between academic studies and involvement in extra-curricular activities can be difficult to manage. Tailored support is therefore provided by our Sixth Form Tutors to help pupils achieve a satisfactory balance. Each pupil is helped to find a study pattern which is suited to their learning style. All are encouraged to make full use of the time available for independent learning.

This combination of a carefully structured programme and the support of a caring, supportive staff team, ensures that each pupil has the opportunity to achieve his or her full potential. From the start of Sixth Form courses, tutors offer consultation and advice on plans for the future.
