Gary Dickinson left Hull Collegiate School in 2008 and is now reading Politics at The University of York

Attending Hull Collegiate School has been one of the best experiences of my life.

Hull Collegiate School provided me with fond memories and valuable lessons, which will always be present in my mind. The teaching at the school was impeccable: small class sizes and dedicated teachers allowed everybody to flourish, not just those with the highest natural ability. The Sixth Form mentoring process was invaluable during my A-Level studies, which highlighted aspects of my work and my school career. It also identified areas which could be improved and provided the help necessary to fulfill these improvements.

The school's extra-curricular activites are unparalleled with enough options for everybody to enjoy. The vast array of school trips provided effective "out of classroom" learning and allowed us to analyse the facts  and theories learnt within school and apply these to reality. The Geography trip to Iceland is a terrific example of this, learning about glacier formations on the glacier beats reading a textbook!

Hull Collegiate School has been a fantastic part of my life; a part that I will always cherish.
